About:
After studying at TU-Berlin and the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, Julian worked for three years at Zaha Hadid’s London office.
In 2010, he started his own practice in a small office above Ritter Butzke’s dancefloor.
Back then, Berlin was a place of rapid transformation, of ruins and gaps. From working within this complex urban canvas, our office developed methodologies for approaching interdisciplinary, contextual urbanism. Our work mostly involves existing structures—built, cultural, or environmental. We aim to find synergies between them and use new structures and systems as catalysts for positive densification and change.
Our office is traveling through redevelopment sites across Berlin. Currently, we are split between a site office at Postbahnhof and a planning office nearby in Kreuzberg.
We believe that collaboration is the best way to get things done, and we work with a large network of architects, engineers, and consultants.
